Tradition meets innovation meets cutting edge technology.

Created using a range of acoustic percussion instruments, vocal percussion & digital audio
processing, Drumscapes range from highly energised rhythmical journeys to atmospheric
percussion soundscapes.

Drumscapes began as live sampling performances with all instruments played, sampled
and processed on stage.

Released in Feb 2010 as studio produced CD.

Jon Sterckx is a percussionst  based in Devon, South West UK.

Jon trained in Indian tabla in India & the UK with several teachers
including Harjinder Singh Matharu, Shivanand Bhandari &
Kailash Nishad & also plays percussion from the
Middle Eastern & West African traditions.

Jon has a BA (Hons) Music from Dartington College of
Arts (2000), where he concentrated on tabla, fusion
music & performance composition.

Jon also performs with other musicians &
